Southern North Sea Decommissioning Conference Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May 2009 This was the first conference that Oil & Gas UK has run out with Aberdeen, and provided the opportunity for 130 delegates to gather in Newcastle over a two day period to listen and debate the key issues surrounding the decommissioning of assets in the Southern North Sea. The conference provided the ideal opportunity for North Sea operators and suppliers alike to learn from the vast experience of companies involved in the decommissioning of Gulf of Mexico infrastructure and other provinces around the world and improved their grasp of what lies ahead in the North Sea. Next Generation Conference '09 Wednesday 22 April 2009 This was the second conference to be held especially for young professionals by Oil & Gas UK, following the success of the 2008 event. The event attracted over 150 young delegate who were in the early stages of their careers, in a range of disciplines from engineering, financial, and legal to human resources, the environmental and health and safety. The conference combined high profile, motivating speakers and interactive debate to stimulate ideas from delegates about how they wanted the industry to respond to their aspirations, whether of a professional of social nature. Supply Chain Conference '08 Wednesday 12 November 2008 The Supply Chain Conference was attended by over 230 delegates from both within and outside the oil and gas sector. The event examined the compelling case for a long term sustainable supply chain anchored in the UK, serving the UK but also as a centre of excellence for export. A strong speaker line-up was secured comprising of high profile senior executives from a broad range of supply chain organisations across the sector. In addition, conference delegates heard about best practice from other sectors including those from a construction and governmental nature.
