Pandemic Flu
Overview
Oil & Gas UK has recognised that whilst pandemic planning has been undertaken by individual organisations, there are many wider issues that, if unanswered, could impact on the ability of the industry to meet the requirements of the Government in the production and supply of oil and gas to support the national infrastructure, with gas supply being the highest priority.
Therefore, the Offshore Pandemic Steering Group, whose membership includes offshore operators, contractors, medical advisor, helicopter operators, vessel owners, HSE, DECC, Grampian Police, Scottish Government and the NHS, works to ensure that the industry is prepared to offer a coordinated and collective response to a pandemic outbreak.
