Following the Helicopter Task Group meeting on 30 June 2009, a sub-group met to discuss what could be done to improve confidence in the safety of helicopter operations. As a result, the following actions have been taken:
- The creation of guidelines for highlighting flight safety concerns. These aim to clarify the process of raising questions and safety concerns during and after a flight. The guidelines can be found here.
- The development of a helicopter safety awareness course for offshore safety representatives. Further details can be found here.
- The production of a DVD that answers key questions and concerns that the workforce has about helicopter travel. Click here to play the DVD.
