The Awards Oil & Gas UK launched its annual search to find those people who are making an exceptional contribution to our industry. The winners were announced at the Oil & Gas UK Awards dinner, which took place on the evening of Thursday 22 November 2007 at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre. The 2007 theme was: 'What measures should be taken by the UK oil and gas industry to ensure its demand for skilled people is met so that a sustainable, long-term future is built for the industry?' Three awards were presented: The Pearl Award for Overall Excellence Recognises the outstanding work by young people working in our industry today sponsored by Marathon Oil U.K., Ltd.    Watch the three finalists in this award category (wmv file 40.4MB) The winner was Caroline Laurenson, a process engineer with Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Ltd.
