David Ripley
David Ripley joined Oil & Gas UK as Director, Supply Chain Issues and Policy, in November 2011. David is responsible for developing and furthering a safe and sustainable future for the UK oil and gas industry as a leading international supply chain hub through a range of industry and government initiatives, including PILOT, that encompass the entire lifecycle from exploration to decommissioning.
He is a graduate of Dundee University and has over 30 years of varied experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in the areas of geological evaluation, drilling and completion fluid technology and well engineering technology. During this period he occupied senior technical and business development roles and for much of this time operated at board level, principally as CEO.
David most recently provided business and management consultancy services to the energy industry and wider market place, and prior to this, was CEO of Target Energy Group Limited, an international drilling services company. David has served as a non-executive director on the boards of a number of technology-based oil and gas SMEs.
